Site Audit — Divorce & The Path Forward
Website Audit

Your website has
real potential.
And real problems.

A detailed review of divorceandthepathforward.com — what’s working, what’s costing you clients, and what a proper rebuild looks like for your business.

Ed, your copy is genuinely good. The way you’ve structured your programs, the empathy in your language, the clarity of your value proposition — that’s hard to teach, and it’s all there. A lot of coaches get this completely wrong, and you’ve gotten it right.

What you have right now is strong content sitting inside a platform that’s actively working against you. Several issues on the live site would make a prospective client quietly close the tab — not because of anything you said, but because of things Wix left broken. This report lays them all out, clearly and directly.

What’s Working

Your copy is your strongest asset

The program descriptions — Pathway to a New Beginning, Divorce Strategy Lab, Thrive After Divorce — are detailed, structured, and emotionally intelligent. The “why coaching vs. a lawyer” angle is a sharp differentiator that most coaches miss entirely. This is the kind of content that converts when it’s presented properly.

Your brand name and domain are strong

“Divorce and the Path Forward” is memorable, warm, and search-intent aligned. People searching for help in the middle of a divorce use exactly this kind of language. Your domain is an asset you already own.

You have a booking system in place

You’re already thinking about conversion — you have an online booking flow and multiple service tiers. The infrastructure intent is right. The execution and presentation just need to catch up to the ambition.

The Problems

!

Your footer has live typos — visible to every visitor

Two separate footer sections contain garbled text that shipped directly from Wix’s default template, completely unedited. These appear on every page of your site, right now, for every prospective client who visits.

Live text found in footer
“ConContt” (appears twice)
“Convvvvvvvvtact”

For a coach whose entire value proposition is clarity, competence, and trustworthiness, typos in the footer do disproportionate damage. A visitor who notices this will question whether the rest of the site — and the service — was assembled with the same lack of attention.

!

Your social links go to Wix’s corporate accounts, not yours

Every social media icon in your footer — Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok — is pointing to Wix’s own official social media pages. Anyone who clicks your Facebook icon ends up on Wix’s Facebook page. Anyone who clicks Instagram lands on Wix’s Instagram.

Actual link destinations
Facebook → facebook.com/wix
Instagram → instagram.com/wix
X → x.com/wix
TikTok → tiktok.com/@wix

This is a default Wix template placeholder that was never updated. It means you’re currently sending any visitor who tries to follow you on social media directly to your platform vendor instead.

!

Your navigation is non-functional

Your nav links — “About Me,” “Services List,” and “Home” — all resolve to the same URL: the homepage root. There are no separate pages for these sections. A visitor clicking “About Me” is taken to the top of the homepage with no scrolling or anchoring to the right section.

This is a structural limitation of how your Wix site was built — everything lives on one long scrolling page but is presented as if it were a multi-page site. This also severely limits your SEO, because search engines can’t index separate pages for your services.

!

No pricing anywhere on the site

Your services are described in detail but your pricing is hidden behind “Explore Plans” buttons — and even the booking pages show no rates. For a service in the $500–$2,000+ range (typical for structured coaching programs), hiding pricing creates anxiety and friction at exactly the moment you need to build trust.

People in the middle of a divorce are acutely sensitive to financial decisions. Not seeing a number makes them hesitate. Transparent pricing, even with a “starting from” range, dramatically increases the likelihood that someone books rather than closes the tab.

Zero testimonials or social proof

Your entire homepage contains no client testimonials, no reviews, no case studies, no before/after stories, and no credential display beyond a single mention of being “a certified divorce coach.” In a category where the purchase decision is almost entirely emotional and trust-based, this is a major conversion gap.

Even two or three short testimonials — especially ones that speak to specific outcomes — would meaningfully increase the number of visitors who actually book a consultation.

Your booking page is generic and disconnected

The Book Online page shows four cards with service names, “1 hr,” and a Book Now button — no descriptions, no pricing, no emotional language. After a visitor reads your warm, detailed homepage copy, landing on a stripped-down generic Wix booking template feels like a sudden drop in quality and care.

The conversion page — the one place where the decision actually gets made — is your weakest page. That’s the wrong place to be generic.

~

Copyright year is 2035 and “Powered by Wix” is prominent

Your footer reads “© 2035 by Divorce Coaching” — a future date that reads as an error to any observant visitor. Combined with the “Powered and secured by Wix” badge sitting prominently at the bottom of every page, the footer is doing consistent damage to your perceived professionalism.

Platform vendor branding in the footer is a signal — fair or not — that the site was assembled rather than designed. For a premium personal service, that’s a meaningful perception gap to close.

What the right build
would look like for you

Your content is ready. What you need is a site that treats it properly — one built around your specific business model and your specific clients, not adapted from a template.

Here’s what a purpose-built site for a divorce coaching practice achieves:

  • Separate, indexable pages for each service — so someone searching “divorce coaching New Jersey” can land directly on the right program page rather than having to scroll through everything.
  • Pricing clearly displayed, formatted to reduce anxiety rather than create it — with framing that emphasizes value relative to legal fees.
  • Testimonials designed into the page architecture, not bolted on as an afterthought — integrated where they have the most impact on the decision journey.
  • A booking and checkout flow that maintains the warm, trustworthy tone of your copy all the way through payment — no jarring transition to a generic interface.
  • A footer that says what you mean, links where you want, and carries your brand — not your platform vendor’s.
  • Full control over every element, without being constrained by what a template allows or what a platform decides to update.
